Stop Injustice: 5 Weeks For Freedom from International Justice Mission on Vimeo.

5 Weeks for Freedom is a major awareness and advocacy campaign to support International Justice Mission’s work and give a voice to victims of modern-day slavery and other forms of injustice. A team of ordinary people is giving up 5 weeks to cycle 1800 miles of the Underground Railroad – a route that reminds us that change happens when ordinary people do what they can to stop injustice, that the evil of slavery has been defeated once, and that, together, we can do it again.

At Restoration, we are giving significant time, money, and prayer to being a part of the movement to end modern-day slavery and human trafficking.  Some of our dear friends are making this 5 week advocacy campaign happen.  We love cycling and we love justice–  how cool is this!

We are also sending a team to Moldova at the end of September to partner with a local church on the front-line of keeping teenage girls from being trafficked.  We’d love for you to consider being Jesus’ hands and feet on the ground with us.

But over the next 5 weeks, as you check the world cup scores and lay next to the pool, take a few minutes to check in with these 15 riders who are pedaling with everything they’ve got to see the end of injustice in our day.

Let’s pray with them!
