Andrew Thompson

Andrew grew up in beautiful Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2008. He was a member of The Falls Church Fellows program in 2009 where he interned in the Middle School Youth Ministries office under Rev. Jim Byrne. Since finishing the Fellows program, Andrew has worked part time as the Study Assistant to the Rector of The Falls Church, Rev. John Yates II.

In 2008, Andrew graduated with a BS in Kinesiology at William and Mary. He enjoyed forming discipleship relations with younger students through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. In between semesters at the Tribe, Andrew loved spending his summers working as a camp counselor a Summer’s Best Two Weeks in Boswell, PA.

After graduating, he spent a formative year working with eighth grade boys and learning about all things youth ministry related under the guidance of Jim Byrne. This was an exciting year of growth and many Nerf-gun battles with middle school boys.

Since August 2009, Andrew has served the Rev. John Yates II in a variety of capacities (primarily reading books, articles, and writing reports).

When he is not spending time with middle school students, Andrew enjoys running with friends, long bike rides, playing tennis, reading, and quality conversations at Starbucks.
