DK Small Group

I love being a part of God’s work unfolding at Restoration.  My relationship with Christ provides the foundation for my life, keeping everything else in perspective.  Trusting in Him brings peace – assurance in tough times, humility and thankfulness for every blessing.  I am flawed but through Christ restored.

Joining Restoration in 2010, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to serve as a facilitator of Adult and Children’s Small Groups, Finance Committee, usher, counter, reader and greeter.  Participation in a West Virginia trip and AFAC along with supporting outreach efforts in West Asia, Cambodia and the Navigators have been rich experiences.

Micki and I have been married for over 30 years – amidst challenges, God’s grace has truly made two into one.  I have over 30 years’ experience in covenant leadership, financial management, and strategic planning.  Over ten years of focused Bible study helped me to see that the Bible is among God’s greatest gifts to mankind … an autobiography of the creator of the universe … an instruction manual for living … a treasure map and a treasure.  Through the Bible God has taught me that it is all about Him and each of us is deeply loved.

I pray the Restoration vestry will continue to listen to the cares of the community and congregation, to the wisdom of the clergy and fellow church leaders, and to the Word of God.  Then seek to prayerfully and humbly use their gifts in guiding Restoration to join with God to make His kingdom come.
