Restoration  will be returning to the hills of West Virginia this year from June 27 to July 1 to serve alongside our neighbors in Philippi, West Virginia. Philippi is a beautiful former mining town located in Barbour County approximately ninety minutes south of Morgantown, WV. The trip is facilitated by the local office of Appalachian Community Care. The purpose of the trip is to provide basic manual labor (home remodeling or construction tasks) to selected families in the Philippi community. No construction expertise necessary! We seek to bring a willing heart and an open ear as we share our stories and our lives with the people of Philippi.

This is our fourth year working  in Philippi. We will be staying again this year in the dorms of Alderson-Broadhus College. All meals are provided.

This trip is excellent for people with little-to-no construction experience, for individuals and families – ages 8 to 98

Dates: June 27 – July 1, 2012
Location: Philippi, WV

Dates:

Feb 7: Early bird applications closes
March 5: Last day for applications

Cost:

$450 per adult, $225 child (aged 8-12) , plus $100 per person construction costs.
