RestoWomen: Gift or Gain

Restoration - Fellowship Hall

What if life is meant to be enjoyed, not mastered? How do I experience joy in a driven culture that prizes achievement? Where am I haunted by the “what’s next?” question in order to stave off emptiness or sadness? Are the gifts only at the finish lines or are they along the way, too?

The writer of Ecclesiastes wrestles with these questions. Let’s take a deeper dive into them ourselves as we hear other RestoWomen (Erin Memmott, Cara Voth, Catherine Gill Smith, and Liz Janis), share reflections about their own experiences.

Join us Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:30pm in the fellowship hall!

What if our work was never intended to make us successful but simply to make us faithful and generous?
– David Gibson, Living Life Backwards

…there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work… these pleasures are from the hand of God… who can enjoy anything apart from him?
– Eccl. 2:24-25
