RestoWomen: Receiving God’s Compassion

Beth Tipps
Restoration Anglican Church

The psalmist describes God as being full of compassion (116:5). Perhaps you’ve read it, perhaps you’ve heard it, but what is it like to receive this compassion?

The Greek and Hebrew words used for our English word “compassion” provide a much richer understanding of this maternal quality of God.  It’s comforting, encouraging, nourishing, and we can share it when we learn to receive it.

As we begin preparations for the holidays and all the emotions that come with them, let’s spend some time together learning and experiencing God’s compassion. It’s transformative!

Hope to see you there!
