Important Church Meeting Next Week: After the service next Sunday (Aug. 4), there will be a brief but important meeting for all Restoration members. We need to vote to approve financing for the new building. If you are a member, please plan to stay after the service next week.
Looking for ways to connect at Restoration? Join our Sunday volunteer team—there are lots of ways to serve. Come to the volunteer training tonight at 6:45 pm in the Treehouse (2nd floor).
The Restoration Fall Retreat: It’s coming. Mark your calendars for Oct. 19-20, when we’ll return to Massanetta Springs for two great days of fun and fellowship in the Virginia mountains. Registration coming soon! Interested in helping with the retreat? Email Brad Nelson: abradleynelson@gmail.com.
The AFAC Farmers Market Challenge: Last week’s team collected and bagged 1786 pounds of produce for distribution to Arlington’s hungry. Can you beat that? Email Melody at melody.parry@gmail.com to sign up. (Kids 6 and over are welcome with a parent or adult.) *Correction: The previous week’s team collected 1800 pounds, not 1.8 tons. That’s still a whole lot of produce!
Women’s Happy Hour: Join Mona Bormet and Anne Cregger on Tues., July 30, at Grand Cru Wine Bar in Ballston. Drop in anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Questions? Email Mona: mona.bormet@gmail.com.
A conversation on leadership: On Wed., Aug. 7, the Trinity Forum hosts Restoration member Ray Blunt for a talk on the role of leadership in the American abolition movement. The event is from 6:30–8:30 pm at the National Press Club. Tickets and info at www.ttf.org/events.
Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse room (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:40 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These prayer meetings are lively, varied, and a lot of fun. Everyone’s welcome—including kids.
Do you get our weekly e-newsletter? If not, you’re missing out on the best way to stay connected to what’s happening at Restoration. Drop an email to info@restorationarlington.org to subscribe.
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
Our offices have moved. We’re now working at 101 W. Broad St., Suite 500, Falls Church, VA, 22046. The office phone is 703-536-1839.
