Vestry elections end today. All Restoration members are eligible and encouraged to vote for three people to join our board of elders. Voting will be in the narthex after the service today. Results will be posted on the blog tomorrow.
Operation Christmas Child: You have one more week to fill a shoebox with holiday gifts for a child in need. We’ll collect them today and next Sunday in the narthex. If you need a Ready-to-Go shoebox, they’re available in the narthex. Questions? Contact Cara Voth at cara.voth@gmail.com.
Film screening: 3 AM Girls, a documentary by journalist Lisa Ling, uncovers the face of sex trafficking here in the DC area. We will show the film this Wed., Nov. 20, from 7:30–9:30 pm here at Little Falls. Tina Frundt, founder of Courtney’s House (a local anti-trafficking and after-care organization), will be present to take questions after the film. Questions? Women’s Retreat planning meeting. Interested in helping to plan our annual women’s retreat? All are welcome at a meeting tomorrow night, Nov. 18, at 8 pm at Mary Breed’s home: 4064 22nd St. N., Arlington, VA 22207. The retreat will be Feb. 24-26, 2014 at the Capital Retreat Center in southern PA. Questions? Interested but can’t attend the meeting? Prayer meeting for the Silk Road: The Silk Road is a term for the countries stretching from Turkey to China. We’re gathering regularly to pray for this area and how God might use Restoration to build his kingdom there. Tues., Nov. 19, at 7:30 pm. Questions? Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
