Announcements – January 5, 2014
Small Group registration begins today! Almost everyone who worships at Restoration on Sundays is part of a small group that meets during the week. These groups are where real community is formed as we study the Bible, pray, and just enjoy each other’s company. Go to restorationarlington.org today to register! Small groups begin meeting the week of Jan. 19. Questions? Contact Liz: Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Small Groups.”
You know you don’t want to cook. So join us for pizza downstairs in the Friendship Hall immediately following the service today. You can even get to work on that New Year’s resolution of getting to know more people at Restoration…
Register today for the Women’s Retreat: Registration is open for the Women’s Retreat, Feb. 21–23, 2014, at the Capital Retreat Center in Waynesboro, PA. Our own Connally Gilliam will be leading us, and we hope all women at Restoration will come. To register, go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/retreats. Questions? Contact Liz: Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Women’s Retreat.”
Man Up. On Tues., Jan. 14, at 7:30 pm, Restoration men will have the opportunity to “train themselves for godliness.” We’re gathering once a month in the Little Falls sanctuary to talk about our character and to connect with potential mentors. This month’s topic: courage. Questions? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Connect.”
Thank you! In December, we collected two special offerings: one for typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines; and our Christmas Eve offering for Courtney’s House. Thanks to your generosity, Restoration gave $5,120.20 to typhoon relief ($4,120.20 to ARDF and $1,000 to Convoy of Hope), and $9,027.45 to Courtney’s House. We are proud to support these great organizations, and we’re grateful for your consistent generosity.
Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:30 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.
Do you get our weekly e-newsletter? If not, you’re missing out on the best way to stay connected to what’s happening at Restoration. Drop an email to info@restorationarlington.org to subscribe.
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
