Sunday Announcements – January 26, 2014
Are you new to Restoration? Come to the New-to-Restoration Dinner! Tues., Feb. 4, at 7:30 pm at Little Falls. We’d love to meet you and help you get to know our church a little more. Please RSVP by Feb. 2: Go to restorationarlington.org/connect. Questions? Contact Kat: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “New to Restoration Dinner.”
Small Groups have started! If you haven’t already joined one, there’s still time: go to restorationarlington.org to sign up. Almost everyone who worships at Restoration on Sundays is part of a small group that meets during the week to study the Bible, pray, and just enjoy each other’s company. Questions? Contact Liz: Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Small Groups.”
Only one week left to register for the Women’s Retreat: Feb. 21–23, 2014, at the Capital Retreat Center in Waynesboro, PA. Restoration’s own Connally Gilliam will be leading us. All women are welcome—it’s a great way to connect if you’re new! To register, go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/retreats. Registration deadline: Feb. 2. Questions? Contact Liz: Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Women’s Retreat.”
AFAC food distribution: On the fourth Tuesday of every month, Restoration supplies volunteers to help with the evening food distribution to AFAC clients. We need volunteers for this Tues., Jan. 28, from 6:30–8:30 pm. Adults and teens 14 and older are welcome! Go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/outreach/local to sign up.
God and the (Single) Woman: A time of thinking, listening, sharing, praying, and hearing God’s heart for women. We’ll have a great panel and time for Q&A. All women—single or otherwise—are encouraged to come. This Tues., Jan. 28, at 7:30 pm at Little Falls. Questions? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Connect.”
Please pray for your Vestry. The Vestry—the nine men and women who make up our board of elders—will have its annual retreat this coming weekend, Jan. 31 – Feb 1. Please pray for them and for David as they pray and plan together for the year ahead.
Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:30 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.
Do you get our weekly e-newsletter? If not, you’re missing out on the best way to stay connected to what’s happening at Restoration. Drop an email to info@restorationarlington.org to subscribe.
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
