Sunday Announcements – May 4, 2014
Small groups have begun! Almost everyone who worships with us on Sunday evenings is in a small group during the week. Tri2 groups began last week, but there’s still time to join one. Go to restorationarlington.org/connect to register.
New-to-Restoration Dinner: Are you new (or new-ish) to
Restoration? We’d love to meet you, tell you a little more about the church, and answer any questions you have—all while feeding you a great dinner. Join us this Tues., May 6, at 7:30 pm here at Little Falls. To RSVP, go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
Holy Week Offerings for IJM Cambodia: On Ash Wednesday and during Holy Week, we collected $11,416.31 in offerings, all of which we have donated to International Justice Mission’s work in Cambodia. Thank you for giving so generously. We are honored to support IJM’s work to fight human trafficking, restore dignity to those who have been trafficked, and pursue justice for the traffickers. Please continue to pray for IJM and for the people of Cambodia.
Come pray with us. Bridging the Gap is a loosely structured team with one thing in common—we care about the youth of Arlington. With this in mind, we meet at Washington-Lee High School each Tuesday from 6:15–6:45 pm. We gather at the front entrance (on N. Stafford St.) and then walk around the school, pray for the students, staff, and community. Please join us—everyone is welcome.
The Men’s Retreat: It’s just two weeks away. Every year the men of Restoration go to Middleburg, VA, for a man-treat. We camp out in a field, hang out, and talk about how to become more Christ-like men. All guys are welcome. The retreat is May 17–18, and the cost is $40. Scholarships are available. To register, go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/retreats/.
Interested in outreach? Come to the next meeting of the Outreach Planning Team and brainstorm outreach activities for the Restoration community over the next few months. Tues., May 13, at 7:30 pm at the Grays’: 4318 39th St. N., Arlington VA 22207. OPT meetings are open to everyone. Questions? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Outreach.”
Prayer at 4: Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:30 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.
Do you get our weekly e-newsletter? If not, you’re missing out on the best way to stay connected to what’s happening at Restoration. Drop an email to info@restorationarlington.org to subscribe.
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
