Register for the Fall Retreat today! Hot and humid weather getting old? Imagine crisp fall days in the Shenandoah mountains! We need you to help Bridge the Gap. We’re continuing our efforts to serve Washington-Lee High School by partnering with Young Life to build relationships with students at W-L and working towards forming a YL club. Interested? Come find out more on Wed., Aug. 20, at 7:30 pm at 4636 3rd St. S., Arlington, VA 22204. For more details, go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Youth Ministry.”
We’ll let you in on a secret: Serving as a Kids’ Small Group Leader is the most fun way to get involved at Restoration on a Sunday, and it’s a great way to grow in your own faith. We’re looking for leaders for all three services (9 & 11 am and 5 pm) starting in September. Interested? Want more info? Contact Louise: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Children’s Ministry.”
You’ve been served! Our liturgical volunteers are amazing folks who pray for you and serve you in some of the following ways: setting the altar, baking communion bread, reading, running the soundboard, serving communion, and more. Join us! It’s a simple and flexible first step to getting plugged in at Restoration. Next training Aug. 24, 7:30 to 9 pm at 1815 North Quincy St, Arlington, VA. Let Matt know you are interested by going to restorationarlington.org/contacts and choosing “Volunteer.”
Calling all techies: We are looking for a group of audio/visually minded people to learn the new technical systems in our building. We desire to serve our congregation well with our new media tools. Interested? Go to restorationarlington.org/contacts and choose “Volunteer.” Drop a quick note to Matt expressing your interest.
Missions fair: Do you want to know more about our outreach projects and partners? Come down to the Fellowship Hall on 9/7 after the service and see what’s going on… so many ways to get involved. Info? Julia Riesenberg at julia.riesenberg@gmail.com
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
Our weekly e-newsletter: If you’re not getting it, you’re missing out on the best way to stay connected to what’s happening at Restoration. Drop an email to info@restorationarlington.org to subscribe.
Eager to move to the new building? We are, too. We’re in the final stages of construction and plan to have our first services back on Quincy St. sometime later this summer or early fall. Please pray for all of the details that are necessary in attaining our certificate of occupancy. Watch this space for details.
