Sunday Announcements – April 5, 2015
Holy Week offering: It is Restoration’s custom during Holy Week to donate all of the offerings we receive to a global organization; this year, we’re giving our offerings to the work of Church of Christ our Peace, working with unreached people in Cambodia. We are honored to support this church and invite you to give generously.
Register for a small group today. Almost everyone who worships with us on Sunday evenings is in a small group during the week. Tri2 groups begin the week of April 19 and run through the week of June 21. Register today: go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
New-to-Restoration Dinner: Are you new (or new-ish) to Restoration? We’d love to meet you, tell you a little more about the church, and answer any questions you have—all while feeding you a great dinner. Join us on Tues, April 21, at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. To RSVP, go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
Want to serve? After-service prayer training is on April 12th, 2-4pm (clay@restorationarlington.org), and Sunday volunteer training is on April 26, (kathy@restorationarlington.org).
Women at Restoration: want to get to know each other beyond the Sunday service setting? Sign up for a Wisdom of Walking gathering: one-time events in various homes that simply provide a time & space to connect. Sign up on the website.
Evensong starts again next week. Think “campfire” prayer and singing with candles instead of a campfire – a less structured time of worship. Sun, April 12, from 7-8pm. Ask Matt (the music leader) or ask around.
Dan Allender. Have you faced all parts of your own life story, and let Jesus into them? Join Dan Allender, a powerful, funny and gifted psychologist, at the To Be Told: Know Your Story, Shape Your Future conference, here at Restoration April 17-18. Register at theallendercenter.org/conferences/to-be-told or register over snacks today.
Pig Out: Save the date! The men of Restoration invite the entire church and friends far and wide to celebrate on May 2 in Middleburg. The guys will be roasting a whole hog and grilling up plenty of alternative fare. Expect lots of games, songs and outdoor fun for young and old, plus an option to camp overnight! More information coming soon on the website…
We have an app for that: Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store to stay on top of Restoration events, look up a friend’s phone number or address, sign up for different events, listen to sermons and the week’s music, and more. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
