Sunday Announcements – February 26, 2017
- The Good of Giving Up. As we prepare to enter the season of Lent, we invite you to consider joining us as we read “The Good of Giving Up – Discovering the Freedom of Lent” by Aaron Damiani. This book will be the focus of our Lenten devotions this year. Get on Amazon and buy it!
- Parish Meeting and Pancakes. On Shrove Tuesday (Feb 28), we will feast together at 6 pm, and begin the Parish Meeting at 6:45 in the Fellowship Hall. There will be childcare up to fifth grade during the meeting. Let Louise know if you need childcare (louise@restorationarlington.org)
- Apex tonight: Are you a middle schooler? Head to the Fellowship Hall at 6:30. Questions? Ask Isaiah@restorationarlington.org.
- Last Evensong. Join us at 7 pm for Evensong in the sanctuary. This is an intimate, contemplative time of singing, praying, and listening. This will be the last Evensong we have until after Easter. Bring a friend!
- Ash Wednesday. We will be holding Ash Wednesday services to begin our time of Lenten examination on Wed, March 1, at 6:30am, 12pm, and 7:30pm.
- Noontime/Midweek Eucharist Service: This week, join us 15 minutes earlier for the Ash Wednesday service. The Wednesday Noontime Eucharist service from 12:15 to 1 pm will pick up again through Lent starting up again on March 8. If you are available to assist with the service or have any questions, please contact Katie Hamlin, kejhamlin@gmail.com
- Confirmation is Coming! Would you like to be confirmed? Interested in learning more about Anglicanism? Join us for a 3 week confirmation class, which culminates with confirmation service on 3/26. We’ll meet from 5-6:30pm on Sunday, Mar. 5, 12, & 19. Contact nathan@restorationarlingon.org
- RestoBolivia Application. We are taking a team to lead the annual church retreat for La Trinidad Anglican church, and to spend time with our friends at Niños con Valor. - RILA Intern. Seeking: College or high school student with Tuesday morning availability to intern with RILA. Spanish fluency is a plus, but anyone willing to help with office duties, client calls, researching country conditions and assisting with clinics is most welcome! Internship will be unpaid. - Cereal donations for AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center) will be collected regularly. Consider picking up an extra box of low-sugar cereal to donate at your weekly grocery shopping trip. Cereal can be placed in the labeled box in the lower Narthex each Sunday.
- Clergy Emergency Contact Number: 571.766.6495 This number will ring the clergy who is on call 24 hours a day. Please use this number if you have a crisis and would like to speak to your pastor. We are available to you.
