Sunday Announcements – April 16, 2017
- Flowers! Please take a potted plant for your household as an Easter gift from us to you. Receive it as a sign of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Water it and/or replant it as a reminder through this season of his great gifts to us. “He is risen! He is risen indeed!”
- Holy Week offering: It is Restoration’s custom Maundy Thursday through Easter to donate all of our offerings to a cause or partner that is doing something vital in the Kingdom of God. This year, we’re giving our offerings to Restoration Immigration Legal Aid (RILA). We invite you to give generously.
- Register for a small group. Almost everyone who worships with us on Sunday evenings is in a small group during the week. Groups begin the week of April 23 and run through the week of June 4. Register today on the front page of restorationarlington.org.
- New-to-Restoration Dinner: Are you new (or new-ish) to Restoration? We’d love to meet you, tell you a little more about the church, and answer any questions you have—all while feeding you a great dinner. Join us on May 2, at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. - Seven Weeks of Prayer: Will you join our prayer wall for the Explore God series? Will you add names to be prayed for? SIGN UP for one hour of prayer at restorationarlington.org/exploregodprayer
- Be Still and Know. Busy? Take time to BE STILL AND KNOW. Need some time and space to hear from the Lord? Join us this Wed, April 19 at 7:30pm for a time of silent, contemplative prayer. Bring a Bible, journal, blanket/jacket and an expectant heart.
- New Volunteer Schedule. The new schedule for May and June is coming soon! Please update your availability no later than Sunday, April 23rd. Click on “Volunteer Login” at the top of restorationarlington.org, sign in, and click on the “My Profile” tab to update your preferences. Questions? - Evensong on Elbert Ave. During Eastertide, we will be meeting at Leigh’s an Este’s place (the beautiful, old white house, 3835 Elbert Ave, Alexandria) for singing, praying, and listening together on Sundays from 7:15pm – 8:15.
- Women Unscripted. We will continue exploring what it means to be “mature children,” this month focusing on the topic of work. Join us April 25 at 7:30pm at the church.
- RestoMen: Join us on Tuesday, May 9 for our next gathering. We begin at 7pm with a catered, light supper (Bring $5 to help cover the cost). At 7:30 pm we start the program, & end promptly @ 9pm. This month we’re talking about “Wisdom & Our Anger”.
- The Restoration App: Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store to stay on top of Restoration events, look up a friend’s phone number or address, sign up for different events, listen to sermons, and more. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
