- No Worship Service at 1815 Quincy Next Week. Those who signed up for the Fall Retreat will be worshipping in Massanetta Springs.
- Sunday Volunteer Training. Would you like to volunteer on Sundays? Please join us in the sanctuary today after the Parish Meeting (at about 1:30). This is a great way to get involved. Contact kathy@restorationarlington.org with any questions.
- Parish Meeting. The Parish Meeting is today after the 11 am service. We’ll serve pizza followed by the meeting. Childcare for those in 5th grade and below will be available. We hope you’ve already emailed jill@restorationarlington.org to RSVP for childcare.
- Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace Tickets. You won’t want to miss Matthew Smith with Indelible Grace Sat, Oct 21 at 7pm. Tickets are on sale right now at restorationarlington.org/concert $15 for a single ticket or the early bird special of $25 for two (until Oct 15). Bring a friend!
- RestoMen Gathering: Join us this Tues, Oct. 10 for first gathering of the fall. We begin at 7pm w/supper (Bring $5 to help cover the cost). At 7:30 pm we start the program, & end promptly @ 9pm. Our theme this year is “Living a God-Engaged Life”, and our topic in Oct is “Image vs. Reality”
- Nominations for Vestry open October 1-22. The vestry is a group of 9 elected elders who provide spiritual and fiduciary oversight for our congregation. Nominations (yes, it is just fine to nominate yourself!) can be submitted to nominations@restorationarlington.org Please include the nominees name and 2-3 sentences describing why they should be nominated.
- Yard Work. Do you enjoy free coffee, baked goods, and pulling weeds? Grab your favorite pair of work gloves and join us as we beautify the church property Sat, Oct 21st at 8am. RSVP to ed@restorationarlington.org
- Women’s Unscripted Gatherings: Get to know other RestoWomen outside of Sunday services! Come dine with a small group of women on Nov 7. Look for a chance to sign-up for these one-time events taking place in various homes, where you’ll have an opportunity to connect in a meaningful way. Contact kara.w.stevenson@gmail.com
- Run for a difference on Saturday, November 11th! Bring your family & friends to make a difference by running or walking at this year’s Casa Chirilagua 5k. Your participation helps Casa Chirilagua’s programs and ministries. Register today at bit.ly/5kcasa
- Did you know Restoration had a flag football team? We play on Saturday mornings near the Mall against other area churches. It is co-ed, recreational, and a lot of fun. If you are interested in playing or have questions, email Matt Farrell (farrellmp@gmail.com).
- AFAC Cereal Donations. Cereal can be brought to the lower Narthex on any Sunday. Low sugar cereals are best. Consider picking up an extra box regularly for AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center).
