Sunday Announcements – December 10, 2017

1. The Glebe Star Tree!  Forgot to bring your gift for the Glebe Star Tree? You have until 5 PM Thursday to get it to church. Email Louise to make arrangements. (louise@restorationarlington.org)

3. Vestry Election.  We are excited to announce our vestry class of 2020: Johanna Montague, Danny Lee, and Kevin Marshall.  Please pray for them as they prepare to serve and lead Restoration on the vestry.
   
4. Would you like to lead a Small Group? We are looking for new small group leaders for Winter 2018. If you are potentially interested in leading a group, please contact nathan@restorationarlington.org. The deadline to sign up is Dec 17, 2017.
   
5. Daily prayer…made simple! Advent is the start of the Christian year and a great time to start new rhythms of daily prayer. We have created a simplified version of our Anglican prayer book to guide short daily prayers, scripture readings, and observance of church seasons all year long.  Free for you in the upper narthex.
   
6. Advent Community: Friends and families, join us on Sat mornings (Dec 16, 23) from 9:30am to noon throughout Advent to sing carols, organize the Glebe Star Tree (see below), and prepare the sanctuary week to week on our trek towards celebrating the arrival of our Savior.

8. 2018 Men’s Retreat.  Our annual Men’s retreat is coming Jan 12-13, 2018 at Meadowkirk Retreat Center in Middleburg,VA. Sign up on the Restoration App or website!
   
9. Save the Date! The 2018 Women’s Retreat will take place on Feb 9-11, 2018 at Meadowkirk retreat center in Middleburg, Virginia. All women are warmly invited to come – and bring a friend! SAVE THE DATE! Registration details to be announced soon.
   
10. Next Baptism Sunday is Jan 7 – There are still a few openings at both the 9:00 and 5:00 services for baptisms. (The 11:00 service is full) Please register online by Wed, Dec 20th.

Christmas Eve Eucharist – 3pm and 5pm for children or the young at heart (Feel free to come dressed as your favorite nativity character!) and 9pm for a more traditional experience
