Executive Director’s Update: July 28, 2021
Good afternoon, Restoration!
I have three updates for you today.
Monitoring CDC Guidance
The Vestry met last night and confirmed their awareness of the CDC’s updated mask-wearing guidance for areas of substantial or high transmission levels of COVID. Most areas of the DMV, including Arlington and Fairfax counties, are well below the thresholds for substantial transmission and so for now there is no change in Restoration’s policies for Sunday attendance. The Vestry will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and any Executive Orders from the Virginia Governor, as has been their practice for the past 16 months.
We continue to ask everyone who is not vaccinated to wear a mask at church or inside our building. Anyone is welcome to wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable. We also ask everyone to take a personal health screening and consider any possible COVID exposure before coming to church.
Later this week, the wardens, Lorene Eberhardt and Brad Jones, will publish a wardens’ update about the rest of the Vestry meeting on the blog.
Restoration Clergy Development Fund
The deadline to give to the Restoration Clergy Development Fund is this Saturday, July 31. The fund will support the Restoration Clergy Development Program.
To date, we have over $49,184.79 in the fund and need just over $25,000 to reach our goal of $75,000.
