Rector’s Update: connect to the needs of the world
Dear Restoration,
As the heavens opened last night with rain, hail, and lightning, a bunch of us gathered in the sanctuary for an excellent lecture from the Rev. Sam Pascoe on the 39 Articles and ‘Useful Anglican Doctrine for Today.’
People stuck around asking questions until after 9:30pm. We ate all the cake and had a wonderful evening together. I am grateful for our Anglican history and doctrinal foundations and grateful for such an engaging lecturer like Sam.
As you know, at Restoration we want to connect you to God, to others, and to the needs of the world. In the next several months, we have a couple of opportunities to do that last one. Mark your calendars and connect with us to the needs of the world and the hope that God is bringing.
Resto Missions Night on Wednesday, August 3rd at 7pm
We are praying for our Apex Team who is in Nogales, Mexico this week. We can’t wait to hear about their experiences and the ways God met them there. Additionally, we will hear from our dear friends, C&R, our partners in West Asia, who are visiting us for a couple weeks this summer. There will be childcare for kids ages 5th grade and below. Sign up to join us on Wednesday, August 3.
The New Wineskins Global Missions Conference at Ridgecrest Conference Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, September 22-25, 2022.
Every three years Anglicans in North America gather with Anglicans from around the world for this amazing conference. We hear stories of what God is doing and learn of opportunities to engage in cross-cultural partnerships for the sake of the Great Commission.
We would love to send a small team of people from Restoration.
