I am so thankful for Ryan Goyer.
During the summer of 2019, Ryan joined our staff team as a not-married man, who had the unusual (and enviable!?) job title of: Communications and Facility Coordinator. He soon learned that most of us on the staff team have a wide variety of weekly responsibilities and tasks. His willingness to jump into all kinds of things was a huge help.
After a year, he and Lexi McMann took on the leadership of Apex, with Ryan focusing on our Middle School students. Apex has thrived over the last four years- growing in attendance, growing in volunteers, and growing in programmatic offerings (mid-week book and Bible studies, mission trip to Nogales, Apex Sunday!). I am so thankful for the ways God has used Ryan in the lives of dozens and dozens of students and volunteers.
In addition, Ryan has provided steady leadership to the stewardship of our building: managing the facility calendar, liaising with all the people who want to use it, overseeing maintenance projects and vendors, and working with the facility advisory team on future planning. The responsibilities are somewhat hidden, but the benefit of having someone we can trust taking the calls and answering the messages has been huge and noticed by many!
We are sad to say good-bye to him as a member of our staff team, but so glad that he, Callie, and baby-girl Goyer will still be a part of our Restoration community!
Thank you, Ryan.
It has been such a joy to be a part of this season in your life. You are a faithful friend and a great team-mate to me and so many. We wish you God’s deep goodness as you transition to law school and all that is next.
Ryan wrote a note to the Apex community of parents, volunteers, and students last week. I want to share it with our whole church. If you would like to shoot Ryan a note of gratitude and blessing, please do!
