Sunday Announcements – March 27, 2016
- Daffodils! Please take a potted daffodil plant for your household as an Easter gift from us to you. Receive it as a sign of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Water it and/or replant it as a reminder through this season of his great gifts to us. “He is risen! He is risen indeed!”
- Holy Week offering: It is Restoration’s custom Maundy Thursday through Easter to donate all of the offerings we receive to a global organization; this year, we’re giving our offerings to the Church of the Resurrection (PERA) in Asia Minor. We are honored to support this church and invite you to give generously.
- Register for a small group next week. Almost everyone who worships with us on Sunday evenings is in a small group during the week. Tri2 groups begin the week of April 17 and run through the week of June 19. Register next Sunday: go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
- New-to-Restoration Dinner: Are you new (or new-ish) to Restoration? We’d love to meet you, tell you a little more about the church, and answer any questions you have—all while feeding you a great dinner. Join us on May 3, at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. To RSVP, go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
- RestoMen continues Tues, April 12. The evening begins at 7pm with a catered, light supper. Bring $5 to help cover the cost. At 7:30 we start the conversation and end promptly at 9. We will be talking about celebration as a discipline of intimacy with God and one another.
- Women Unscripted will be reflecting on restraint Tues, April 19, at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a friend!
- Women’s Gatherings: Want to get to know other women at Restoration outside of Sundays? Attend a one-time get-togethers where you’ll enjoy food & conversation – and probably make a few new friends! Dates & sign-ups can be found at: restorationarlington.org/ministries/restowomen/ and on the app.
- No Apex tonight, but our youth group will be back on next Sunday from 6:30pm to 8. If you are a youth, hope to see you there!
- Evensong starts again next week. Think “campfire” prayer and singing with candles instead of a campfire – a more reflective time of worship. Sun, April 3, from 7-8pm. Ask Matt (the music leader).
- Asia Minor Prayer. Our church has a special place in our heart for Asia Minor, so we regularly pray for the people of this country. Our next prayer time is on Mon, April 4, at 7:30 in the Fellowship Hall.
- Receive Extended Prayer. Are you interested in receiving more extended prayer? Contact Katie Hamlin (kejhamlin@gmail.com).
- The Restoration App: Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store to stay on top of Restoration events, look up a friend’s phone number or address, sign up for different events, listen to sermons and the week’s music, and more. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
