Creating Space to Listen
I think this expresses well the challenge we face to create space to listen to the Holy Spirit. I was struck by that question at the end: Remember daydreams? I don’t want to so crowd out the air-space in my head that my mind never gets to wander or my soul never gets to hear the Holy Spirit.
There is not an easy answer to the demands and expectations to stay connected. But I am convinced that every time I say yes to ‘boredom’ there is potential space to hear God.

Just last week I was given an amazing little book called “God guides” by Mary Geegh. So worth reading as she recounts the things that happened after she spent time listening to God. So inspirational I’ve ordered 10 copies… 8 are already spoken for….

I just read this blog entry by Peter Bregman from Harvard’s Business Review. How appropriate the nature of this conversation, and how very fascinating! I hope this article also remains you to pause, stop, and hear the soft and powerful voice of our Lord. I understand and connect deeply to his dilemma. Despite the tendency and temptation to always remain busy and plugged in, it is often not in our best interest as Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve. enjoy the reading!
