All Saints’ Day: On Nov. 1, the church celebrates the “communion of the saints,” all of God’s people throughout time and around the world. If you have a loved one who has died in the last year, please send us a photo for a slideshow we’ll include in worship on Nov. 3. Welcoming the Stranger: One of our small groups this trimester is exploring ways to love the immigrants in our community. The next two weeks, they’re opening up their group to visitors as they host great speakers. On Oct. 30, Dawnielle Miller will talk about connecting with Latino immigrants; on Nov. 6, Pastor James and Faith Cha will speak about their experience as and ministry to immigrants. Vestry elections: Elections for our three new vestry members will be held after the service on Nov. 10 and Nov. 17. The slate of candidates will be announced next Sunday, Nov. 3. All Restoration members are eligible to vote in the election.
Turkey Trot: The Tradition Continues. Once again we’re sponsoring this Thanksgiving morning 5k fun run/walk in Lyon Park to benefit AFAC and other Arlington organizations. Register to run, or volunteer to hand out water. Turkey costumes optional but highly encouraged. Contact Mary Ann Calhoun: macalhoun24@gmail.com.
Women’s Retreat: Save the date! Ladies of Restoration: Mark your calendars for Feb. 21–23, when we’ll gather at the beautiful Capital Retreat Center in southern PA for a great weekend of connection, community, and fun. Our own Connally Gilliam will be speaking. Registration coming soon!
Open small group: This group will stay open through the rest of the trimester. Wednesdays, 7:30 pm at the Kenyons’: 3605 N. Upland St., Arlington, 22207. Led by Liz and Simon Gray. Just drop in—no need to sign up. All are welcome.
Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4– 4:30 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.

Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
