The Rev. Nathan Dickerson
Associate Rector
I was born in Pasadena, California, but I have also lived all over the United States: Virginia, Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and North Carolina.
I enjoy reading (particularly books on American history), hiking, biking, and following my beloved Boston Red Sox (I inherited that passion from my Dad). I also love spending time with my wife Stephanie, and our three daughters: Lizzie, Rachel, and Maggie.
I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College (IL) in 1995 and then worked for a few years in the Washington D.C. area. During that time, I sensed God calling me into ministry, and so I enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in the Chicago area. While I was in seminary, I met my wife Stephanie (we were set up on a blind date!)
In 2001, Stephanie and I moved to Raleigh, NC to serve with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at North Carolina State University. We spent four years working with college students, and then in 2005, I came on staff at our home church (Church of the Apostles in Raleigh, NC). I served at Apostles for 6 years, and was ordained as a deacon in the Anglican Church in June 2006, and then later as a priest in June 2007.
In 2011, we moved to Minnesota to help a plant an Anglican church in the Twin Cities area. And then in 2015, God led us back to Virginia to get connected with Restoration, where I am excited about helping to advance the church’s vision of seeing the power of the Gospel restore our broken lives.
