What’s Happening at Restoration

The Sacraments for Families || Baptism

Join us on Saturday, October 24, from 9-10:30 am as kids and adults learn together about the sacrament of baptism. We will tell stories and create art as a way to play and learn together to engage in questions: What does baptism mean? Why do we use water? How is Jesus present with us in it? Register here.

Closed on Sunday, October 11

Since our church-wide Fall Retreat will take place on October 10-11 in Harrisonburg, VA, we won’t gather on Quincy Street for worship services and Apex on Sunday, October 11. If you’re not attending the retreat, we encourage you to visit one of our sister churches in the area that Sunday.

Parish Meeting

Our annual fall parish meeting will take place in the sanctuary on Sunday, October 4, from 12:45-1:30 pm. It’s an important opportunity for those who call Restoration home to hear about our Vestry Election, our need for more space, our close of fiscal year ’26, and our new “formation core curriculum.” Please register your children for childcare by October 2.

Small Groups

Small groups are the heart of our community life together. These are groups of 12-15 people that meet weekly to study the sermon series or another topic and to pray. Our small groups run on an 8-10 week “trimester” model, with registration for all groups open to everyone at the beginning of each trimester.

Restoration has grown a lot.

Since we were planted in 2009, Restoration has grown into a vibrant church where people encounter the transforming love of Jesus. We welcome the curious, the disillusioned, the hopeful, and the hesitant. We walk with people who are close to giving up on church, those wondering about faith in God for the first time, and those who have been following Jesus for a lot of years.

At Restoration, we meet people where they are and invite them into the grace God offers, while challenging them with Jesus’ call to a changed life. Few things bring us more joy than seeing faith professed through baptism and confirmation.

We invite you to find a place of belonging here, a community where you can grow closer to others and closer to the God who loves you. Restoration is marked by friendship and hospitality, with clear pathways for faith, formation, and discipleship.
Restoration is a church where everyone has a place to grow.

And we don’t stop there.

We believe following Jesus also means going further by serving our neighbors, our city, and the needs of the world. We are committed to reaching those who struggle to believe God loves them, those burdened by the unjust systems and painful circumstances of this life, and those far beyond our walls. This is following Jesus.
