Excited about Bobby Manning this weekend
This weekend, Restoration gets the privilege of sitting under the preaching of Pastor Robert Manning. Bobby is currently a full-time staff minister at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, where he serves as Special Assistant to Pastor John K. Jenkins and directs the church’s young-adult ministry. David and Laurel met Pastor Jenkins at a conference they attended in the spring. We hope to learn from the insight and fruit of this great church. We even dream of being more intentional in our Kingdom partnership here in the DC area.
Robert A. Manning is a native of the Washington, D.C. metro area where he and his wife LaVera currently reside with their son Levi. In response to an early call to ministry, Robert immediately sought out the necessary training to sharpen his ministerial gifting. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Religion/Christian Ministry from Campbell University and a Master of Theology degree (Th.M.) from Dallas Theological Seminary. In June 2005, he was licensed to the gospel ministry by First Baptist Church of Glenarden. In addition to his duties at First Baptist church of Glenarden, Bobby is also an adjunct professor at Washington Bible College and a doctoral student at Bethel Seminary.
I’m so thankful for a chance to partner with Bobby. We hope you’ll join us for worship this weekend at Restoration.
