What do you want me to do for you?
Weekend Roundup
- Thank you to everyone who filled up a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. It was exciting to literally trip over the giant pile of them on our front steps. Way to be generous Restoration!
- More Harmonica!! More Harmonica!!
- Once again, the men and women who invest in our kids downstairs (in cramped quarters with questionable HVAC) and help them see Jesus in all the Scriptures and hunger to know Him– you guys are my heros. Thank you.
- So what’s your APQ? Let’s pray for each other about getting these smaller. It is a place I really want to grow (or shrink– however you look at it…).
- Did you vote in the vestry election? Remember you must be present to vote (no absentee ballots). The polls will be open next Sunday (Nov 21) as well. If you cannot be there on Sunday, you may schedule an appointment to vote this week. Just let us know.
- More Harmonica!! and maybe some banjo, a cello, violin?
- Thanking God for beautiful weather, good coffee, delicious muffins, and wonderful conversations on the lawn. I love that part of sunday morning. Thank you to all of our small groups who have taken a Sunday to provide the treats!
And thank you APEX for this tangible demonstration of love. Nothing says ‘good morning!’ like a saran wrapped vehicle. :)

A friend included this quote in an email last night – good reiteration of prayer as the means of shrinking my APQ . . .
“Instead of hunting for the perfect spiritual state to lift you above the chaos, pray in the chaos. As your heart or your circumstances generate problems, keep generating prayer. You will find the chaos lessens.” – from A Praying Life by Paul E. Miller

Kudos to the Simerly small group for the delicious blueberry muffins and selection of juices, as well as to our worship team friends and their harmonica-playing skills.
