Backpack Buddies: Help AFAC send backpacks full of food home each weekend with kids who otherwise wouldn’t have enough to eat. We’ve got a box in the narthex to collect your donations of: granola bars, microwavable meals and soups, squeezable PB&J, juice boxes, cheese crackers, boxes of raisins, trail mix, mac & cheese bowls, and fruit cups. The AFAC Farmers Market Challenge: Over eight weeks this summer, Restoration teams gathered 13,069 pounds (that’s 6.5 TONS) of surplus produce from the Columbia Pike farmers market for distribution to Arlington’s hungry. Thanks to everyone who volunteered!
APEX Parents’ Meeting. On Sun., Sept. 8, plan on joining Clay and other APEX leaders at 7:00 pm in the Treehouse to talk about what’s in store for the year ahead and how APEX can best serve you and your family. Prayer at 4. Come to the Treehouse (2nd floor) each Sunday from 4–4:40 pm to pray. We pray for our worship service, for each other, for whatever’s going on in the world that we care about. These meetings are lively, varied, and lots of fun. All are welcome—including kids.
