Sunday Announcements – October 12, 2014
ManUp: Judges – Resto’s ManUp series will have its first gathering this Tuesday, Oct 14 at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall. First 50 dudes there get Potbelly’s dinner. $10 donation suggested. Program starts at 7:30. Bring a friend (that’s a dude) and join us as we explore what it means to mature in Christ and form meaningful friendships.
Call for Vestry Nominations: Restoration is lead by a team of 10 elders— the Rector and 9 elected vestry members. These vestry members serve for 3 year terms. We will elect 4 vestry members in November. Nominations close today. Please send the name of your nomination and 2-3 sentences on why you are nominating this person to nominations@restorationarlington.org If you have any questions, please contact Santiago Sedaca at ssedaca@carana.com
Evensong. Sundays from 7-8pm, we will have a time of singing with some interspersed prayer in Restoration’s sanctuary until Advent. If you have questions, contact matt@restorationarlington.org. We will not meet next week, Oct. 19, because of the retreat.
No church service at 1815 Quincy Oct 19. We will be retreating together and holding service at the Fall Retreat in Massanetta Springs. We are greatly looking forward to spending time with those of you who are signed up for the Fall Retreat!

Prayer at W-L – On Oct. 26th, after the service, we’ll be walking down as a congregation to Washington-Lee High School to pray for the school and for the Bridging the Gap Team that is working to build relationships with students there. Please join us on your way to the parking lot!
All Saint’s Day: On Nov. 1, the church celebrates the “communion of the saints,” all of God’s people throughout time and around the world. If you have a loved one who has died in the last year, please send us a photo for a slideshow we’ll include in worship on Nov. 2. Email photos to Matt by Tues., Oct. 28: matt@restorationarlington.org.
Sunday Volunteers. A new volunteer schedule has been made through the end of November, but you can still get in on the Sunday liturgical service action. Fill out your green card to express your interest or contact kathy@restorationarlington.org.
Prayer Training: Interested in joining the team who prays for folks after each service? The next training is Nov. 2, 2-4pm at church. Registration is required. To sign-up go to : restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Prayer.”
Washington-Lee Parking Garage @ 15 St. Please do not park on Quincy St. or the side streets. Parking toward Ballston in the Washington-Lee High School parking garage is one of the best ways that we can love our neighbors, and it is only a short walk or shuttle ride away. Thank you!
