I need Thee, every hour

In joy or pain;

Come quickly and abide

Or life is vain

“I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them and give them gladness for sorrow.” (Jeremiah 31:13)

DO

Think about what brings you joy. Being at a birthday party? Playing on the beach? Building with Legos? Sitting with your friend in the lunchroom? Laughing with a family member? Stomping in puddles?

Think about what makes you sad. When has a friend helped your sadness turn into joy?

Make a card for a friend who could use some cheering up. Then deliver the card to your friend and spend some time just being together.

PRAY

Lord, help me to be a good friend to others in their joy and pain.
