Sunday Announcements – May 6, 2018
- Circle Conversations. Immediately following each service, you can meet with David on the third floor (where you see the open window in the back of the sanctuary) to briefly discuss questions you may have concerning today’s sermon topic. Small group leaders are especially encouraged to stop in to listen or ask questions. You can also submit a question via our homepage restorationarlington.org.
- Niños Con Valor Presentation: Niños Con Valor is a children’s home in Bolivia. A team from RAC will be with them in August. Today after the 11am service, Tyson Malo from Niños Con Valor will be here to give a presentation. There will be snacks!
- RestoMen Gathering: Join us this Tues, May 8 for our RestoMen gathering. We begin at 7pm with District Taco (Bring $5 to help cover the cost). At 7:30pm we start the program and end promptly at 9pm. This year we’re looking at the life of David. Our topic this month is “Experiencing Failure & Discovering Grace.”
- Craving time with other RestoWomen? Dine with a small group of women sometime between now and May 12. Sign-up for these events online (http://bit.ly/2G9nG24) or on the app where you’ll have an opportunity to connect in a meaningful way. There’s one near you!
- Incarnation Sunday Evening Prayer: The Incarnation launch team will start meeting for Sunday Evening prayer at the Grays’ home on June 3, 5pm. If you’d like to join us please let Liz know so that she can send you details, liz@incarnationanglican.org.
- Become a Member at Restoration! Forms for membership can be accessed at restorationarlington.org and are due May 25. Membership Sunday, when you sign the big green book, is on June 10.
- Parish Meeting and Bowlivia Fundraiser: The next Parish Meeting will be on Sun, June 3. At 12:30pm, we’ll serve lunch in bowls (get it? bowlivia?) and receive generous donations for the Bolivia team. The meeting will start at 1pm. Childcare for those in 5th grade and below will be available. Please email Jill (jill@restorationarlington.org) to RSVP for childcare.
- Restoration is hiring a Facilities Coordinator! The part-time Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming space for the Restoration community by functioning as the main point of contact for all facilities inquiries, escalations, maintenance, and repairs. - Restoration is seeking to hire an Associate Rector. Ordained women and women seeking to begin or complete the ordination process are encouraged to apply for this position. - AFAC Cereal Donations: Cereal (low sugar) donations are collected in the lower Narthex every Sunday. Donations go to Arlington Food Assistance Center.
