Rector’s Update: Some ways to respond
Dear Restoration,
Hope you had a great weekend. I loved our worship this morning as Nathan preached us through Psalm 95 and was then launched off into his sabbatical!
There are a few things that are currently happening at Resto with which you might be able to help. As you start your week, I invite your prayers, your referrals, and your responses to these opportunities.
A New Director of Worship Arts
As I shared two weeks ago, Chris Stephens’ last Sunday with us will be May 29. We are currently receiving applicants for our open position: Director of Worship Arts. Restoration’s best applicants often come from your referrals. Would you please pass this opportunity on to the musical worship leaders that you know and appreciate? We would love to talk with them about life on our Restoration staff team. All of the instructions for starting the application process are here.
Holy Week begins on April 10
I am looking forward with anticipation to all that Holy Week will hold for us as we walk as a community through these days that hold the very core of our hope. You can read the schedule of what is happening between Palm Sunday and Easter, here.
There are many opportunities to serve during our Holy Week worship services. If you are new to Restoration or have been serving for a long time, we would love to know if you are available to help that week. Please send an email to Lexi.
The Resurrection Party on April 16 is a blast!
After the Great Vigil of Easter, we have a party in our fellowship hall to celebrate the resurrection. The Vigil starts at 8:30pm and the party starts around 10:30pm. There are two chances for you to be a part of it:
- We have a few more opportunities for people to be on the set-up and take-down team for the party. You would arrive around 8pm and then leave after the party is over. If you are available to serve in this capacity, please send an email to David. Only 2 or 3 spots left!
- When you come to the Vigil, please bring bells to ring as we shout our first Easter Alleluias! And please bring a favorite snack or beverage to share– cookies, a pie, a cake, some cheese and crackers, a charcuterie board, a 6-pack of beer, a bottle of wine, or anything else to add to our celebration. Our party is always a community event and we look forward to tasting your contributions! When you arrive for the service on Saturday night, please drop your party treat off in fellowship hall. Our Party Team will arrange them for our enjoyment.
Thank you so much for praying and for responding to the opportunities that interest you.
-David
