Sunday Announcements – September 28, 2014
What’s happening at Restoration? Several times a year, we hold a parish meeting to update you on important goings-on in our life together and to give you a chance to ask questions. The next one will be this Tues., Sept. 30 at 7:30. Childcare will be available for nursery- and preschool-aged kids. If Restoration is your church home, this is your family meeting. (Minus the drama.)
Come to the New-to-Restoration Dinner! Tues., Oct. 7, at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We’d love to meet you and help you get to know our church a little more. Please RSVP by Oct. 3: Go to restorationarlington.org/connect. Questions? Contact Kat: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “New to Restoration Dinner.”
ManUp: Judges – Resto’s ManUp series will have its first gathering on Tuesday, Oct 14 at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall. First 50 dudes there get Potbelly’s dinner. $10 donation suggested. Program starts at 7:30. Bring a friend (that’s a dude) and join us as we explore what it means to mature in Christ and form meaningful friendships.
APEX tonight! 6:30-8:15pm. Meet in the Fellowship Hall for food, games, hanging out with friends, and getting to know Jesus more. For more information, go to contact on our website or our app and select youth.
Be a Bible study leader with Casa Chirilagua! Casa is looking for middle school and high school Bible study leaders who are willing to volunteer a couple hours a week to build relationships and teach students in a nearby neighborhood about living for Jesus. You are the perfect person for this. Email dawnielle@casachirilagua.org.
Small Groups are in session: We each commit to a small group for 10 weeks and anticipate God’s movement in our lives. Today is the last day to sign up, restorationarlington.org/connect/small-groups/small-group-locations/.
Register for the Fall Retreat. Restoration’s annual all-church fall retreat will be Oct. 18–19 (with an optional Friday night arrival on Oct. 17) in Harrisonburg, VA. Register on the website at restorationarlington.org/ministries/retreats.
We have an app for that: Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store to stay on top of Restoration events, look up a friend’s phone number or address, sign up for different events, listen to sermons and the week’s music, and more. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
Sunday Volunteers. A new volunteer schedule is being made this week. Get in on the Sunday morning action (especially 11 o’clock ushers) by contacting matt@restorationarlington.org.
Washington-Lee Parking Garage: Please do not park on Quincy St. or the side streets. Parking toward Ballston in the Washington-Lee High School parking garage is one of the best ways that we can love our neighbors, and it is only a short walk or shuttle ride away. Thank you!
