Everyone has a place to grow.

A diversity of discipleship options that meets people where they are, just like Jesus did.

Restoration’s small group system has been one of our greatest strengths. It’s easy to access, simple to lead, and deeply formative. Yet, as our church has grown, we recognize that more people means more ways of learning, questioning, and following Jesus.

In the years ahead, we will expand our discipleship pathways beyond our core system of trimester Adult Small Groups and academic year Small Groups for kids and students.

We will develop:

  • Long-form small groups that dive deeply into Scripture, theology, and spiritual formation in the context of community where one can be more deeply known.
  • Evening and weekend seminars on relevant topics taught by trusted outside teachers.
  • Winter Forums each January for reflection, renewal, and community.
  • Clergy-taught classes in Theology, Biblical Studies, and Church History.

For those who are new to Restoration, we will offer a clear sequence of formation: Alpha, Christianity Explored, classes in core theology, Introduction to Anglicanism, and preparation for baptism and confirmation.

As people grow closer to God and each other, we want to shape the head, heart, and hands: Through deeper theology that pushes back against the malformation in which our people are immersed. By teaching spiritual practices that nurture daily life with Jesus. By strengthening hands and sending people out to serve a broken world.

At Restoration we will offer a diversity of discipleship options that meets people where they are.

Everyone has a place to grow closer.

Everyone has a chance to go.

A clear call to serve, creating opportunities for everyone to participate.

Church is not a spectator sport. Jesus led his disciples into places of fear, suffering, and heartache because He knew those encounters would shape them with compassion and courage that would change the world.

Restoration wants to push towards people who are suffering. We don’t want to ignore their needs. We can do something about them. We want everyone to have a chance to go further.

We will start with our neighbors. The people who live and work right next to us. With thoughtful attention to their needs, we will imagine creative and faith-filled ways to serve them.

We will boldly invite people to take steps of faith. Everyone of us is on a faith journey. Restoration wants to be a place where kindness, nuanced thoughtfulness, and open-hearted service helps people take a few more steps towards a relationship with Jesus.

We will strengthen ties with our community partners who are doing justice and loving mercy. For example, ministries like RILA, Communidad, and local foster care networks. We’ll continue to love college students who are asking big questions and support young professionals who are new to the area wanting friendship, purpose, and belonging.

Globally, we will establish church partnerships that deepen through relationship and mutual learning. Each year for the next five years, we’ll send Restoration teams to pray, serve, and encourage our partners. Our goal is for more than a 100 members to experience what God is doing in these global cities firsthand. We’ll also welcome our partners to Arlington, inviting them to teach us what faithfulness looks like in their context and ours.

At Restoration we will offer a clear call and an array of opportunities to serve, so that everyone has a chance to go further.

We are so glad you are here.

Restoration wants to help every person take responsibility for their own faith journey. We will give you options to grow closer and opportunities to go further. As we grow closer to God and go further into the world, we pray that Restoration will shine as a catalytic light that reveals the goodness and beauty of God to our city and beyond.

Everyone has a Place to Grow.
Everyone has a Chance to Go.
We’re so glad you are here.
