Sunday Announcements – February 8, 2015
ManUp is happening this Tues, Feb 10. Dinner is served at 7pm and the program starts at 7:30. We will be talking about Gideon and all those times God calls us to do something with fewer resources than feels adequate.
Developing a Healthy Sense of Self: 6:30 pm Feb 10 at the Arlington County Central Library Auditorium, 1015 North Quincy Street, Arlington.
Hear two health experts share their stories and the things they have learned concerning food, body image, and body care.
Pancakes and Parish Meeting on Feb 17. On the last day before the season of Lent, our whole church will get together for pancakes and a parish update. This is that family meeting where things get sticky, you laugh a lot, and raise some money for goats and World vision. Dinner starts at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall and the parish update starts at 7.
Ash Wednesday Services on Feb 18 at 6:30 am, 12pm, and 7:30 pm. Nursery will be provided at 12pm and 7:30 pm.
Join our after-service prayer team. Praying for people is one of the great ways God gives us to care for each other and be community. Interested in being part of the team that prays for people after the Sunday service? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Prayer.”
Registration for the Women’s Retreat is full. But you can still get on the waiting list for “Unscripted: Rhythms of Prayer” Feb 20-22. To get on the waiting list go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/retreats/.
Evensong tonight: We will gather tonight from 7-8 to pray and sing by candlelight. This evening and next week are our last two for this season. Questions? Ask matt@restorationarlington.org
APEX. If you are in middle school or high school, we’d love for you to join us in the fellowship hall Sunday nights at 6:30 pm. Contact clay@restorationarlington.org
Corhaven Day-retreat. Join Rev Bill Haley for “How Can I Discern My Vocation?” Sat, March 21 from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. This retreat is offered by The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation and Culture, and a suggested donation for the day is $65. Washington-Lee Parking Garage @ 15 St. Please do not park on Quincy St. or the side streets. Parking toward Ballston in the Washington-Lee High School parking garage is one of the best ways that we can love our neighbors, and it is only a short walk or shuttle ride away. Thank you!
RestoApp: Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
