Sunday Announcements – May 24, 3015
Let us welcome the newly baptized! Today we celebrate the baptisms of Judah Powars, Maki and Arabella Bush, August Hamilton (9am), Noah Twaddell, Molly Anne Ingebritson, Xavier Nelson, William Skena (11am), Nadia Foote and Graham Foote, Ruth Colosimo, and Andrew Hutsell (5pm). Please pray for them as they grow in their faith and love for Jesus. Our next baptisms will be on 9/20. For more information, go to restorationarlington.org/contact/ and select baptism.
Your Handprints for Pentecost! During snacks, visit the RestoArts handprint table to put your mark on the gold squares of Easter. This represents our hands being involved in the work God has called us to do through the gift of his Holy Spirit. We will hang the hand-paint-spattered squares in the sanctuary to remind us of our role in this work.
Evensong tonight. Think “campfire” prayer and singing with candles instead of a campfire – a less structured time of worship Sundays 7-8pm. Ask Matt (the music leader) or ask around.
Women Unscripted: the celebration. May 26, 7.30pm at Restoration. Don’t miss it!
May 31 Parking: There will be no shuttle on May 31 for the 9am and 11am services because of a triathlon that will be using Washington Blvd., Quincy, 15th, and N. Stafford Streets. If you choose to come to one of those services, please be considerate of our neighbors. We would love to have you at the 5pm with the shuttle and all.
Triathlon at Washington-Lee High School on the 31st. If you would like to learn more or volunteer to help our neighborhood with this event go to http://www.triathlonfamilyusa.com/race-registration.html
June 2 parish meeting, 7:30 pm. Pizza and drinks will be available at 7 pm. This is a key time to hear about our plans for the summer, our mission trips, financial situation, and hiring process. If you would like childcare during the meeting, email Louise@restorationarlington.org
We have an app for that: Giving, Sermons, Music, Events, Sign-ups, and more. Download the Restoration Anglican Church app from the Mac App Store or the Google Play Store. It’s a great way to stay connected to what’s happening with the Restoration community.
