- NTRD. The next New to Restoration Dinner (NTRD) will be this Tues, Oct 3 @ 7:30. Join us for dinner and an opportunity to hear a bit about our story and vision – bring your questions. Childcare for those in 8th grade and below will be provided. Register at restorationarlington.org/ntrd. Today is the deadline for sign-up.
- Liturgical Volunteer Training. Are you interested in joining the team of Sunday Liturgical Volunteers? The next training will be on Sunday, Oct 8th after the Parish Meeting. Come hear about what is happening and stay to learn about how you can be involved on Sundays! Contact kathy@restorationarlington.org
- Parish Meeting. The Parish Meeting will be next Sunday, October 8 after the 11 am service. We’ll serve pizza followed by the meeting. Childcare for those in 5th grade and below will be available. Please email Jill (jill@restorationarlington.org) to RSVP for childcare.
- Nominations for Vestry open October 1-22. The vestry is a group of 9 elected elders who provide spiritual and fiduciary oversight for our congregation. Nominations (yes, it is just fine to nominate yourself!) can be submitted to nominations@restorationarlington.org Please include the nominees name and 2-3 sentences describing why they should be nominated.
- RestoMen Gathering: Join us Tues, Oct. 10 for first gathering of the fall. We begin at 7pm w/supper (Bring $5 to help cover the cost). At 7:30 pm we start the program, & end promptly @ 9pm. Our theme this year is “Living a God-Engaged Life”, and our topic in Oct is “Image vs. Reality”
- Small Groups! One of the best ways to get connected at Restoration is by joining a small group, and our next trimester of small groups is underway. Register for a fall small group by clicking on the registration image at restorationarlington.org. Deadline to sign up is today.
- Outreach Fair. Make a note to stop by the Outreach Fair today – after all three services in the Fellowship Hall.
- Tickets for sale for Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace. Mark your calendar for the evening of Oct 21 because you won’t want to miss Matthew Smith with Indelible Grace. Tickets are on sale right now at restorationarlington.org/concert $15 for a single ticket or the early bird special of $25 for two. You can also read more: matthewsmith.us/quiethymns
- Did you know Restoration had a flag football team? We play on Saturday mornings near the Mall against other area churches. It is co-ed, recreational, and a lot of fun. If you are interested in playing or have questions, email Matt Farrell (farrellmp@gmail.com).
- AFAC Cereal Donations. Cereal can be brought to the lower Narthex on any Sunday. Low sugar cereals are best. Consider picking up an extra box regularly for AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center).
