- Men’s and Women’s Retreats are happening Jan 11-12 (men’s) and Feb 8-10 (women’s) at at Meadowkirk retreat center in Middleburg, VA. Registration is open today at restorationarlington.org. You won’t want to miss these times of growing friendships and discipleship.
- Advent Wreath Making. Friends, families, and housemates, join us on Sat morning (Dec 1) from 9:30am to noon to start the Advent season. Mark your calendars and sign up for Advent Wreath making at restorationarlington.org/workshops.
- The Glebe Star Trees — where we are invited to buy specific gifts for families in need — are coming soon! Be on the lookout in the upper and lower narthex for your chance to get in on the fun by selecting a tag and buying the gift listed. Questions? Email louise@restorationarlington.org
- Arlington Turkey Trot 5k. Join other Restoration runners and walkers at the Arlington Turkey Trot at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving (Thurs, Nov. 22) to benefit AFAC, Young Life and other local organizations. Register at www.arlingtonvaturkeytrot.org Email Cathy at crguiles@gmail.com for details.
- The Matthew 25 Gathering: Feb 19-21, 2019 Restoration will be hosting the annual ACNA Gathering for Anglican folks who are contending for shalom by doing works of Justice and Mercy. It is a privilege to get to welcome these wonderful people. There will be many opportunities for you to volunteer and serve as we open our doors to brothers and sisters from all over North America. Consider holding those dates open so that you can serve with hospitality and logistics.
- Leading a Small Group. Would you like to lead a Small Group? We are looking for new small group leaders for Winter 2019 (Jan to March). If you are potentially interested in leading a group, please contact nathan@restorationarlington.org. The deadline to sign up is Sun, Dec 16, 2018.
- RILA Meal Coordinator: We are looking for someone to coordinate meals for the RILA clinics that take place twice a month. If this is something you would be interested in or would like to learn more about, please e-mail Kate Liias at katherine.liias@gmail.com
- Baptisms in January: The next Baptism Sunday is Jan 6, 2019. The required baptism training for parents of infants and small children is Thurs, Jan 3, 2019. Please register online by 12/23/18. - AFAC Cereal and Bag Donations. Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) is a non-profit that provides supplemental groceries to our neighbors in need. Consider helping by donating a box of low-sugar cereal or cloth grocery bags (new or used). Place them in the green bin in the lower Narthex.
- Clergy Emergency Contact Number: This is a way for you to contact one of our clergy if you have any sort of pastoral emergency. Text or call 571.766.6495 to get through to one of them right away.
