Sunday Announcements – October 20th, 2019
1. Vestry Elections: The vestry is 9 elected elders who provide spiritual and fiduciary oversight for Restoration. Send your nomination to nominations@restorationarlington.org. Please include the nominee’s name and 2-3 sentences describing why they should be nominated.
2. All Saints Day is November 3: If a loved one has died in the past year and you would like them to be honored in our All Saints slideshow on Sunday, Nov. 3, please go to https://Restoration.formstack.com/forms/ all_saints_day_2019 and fill out the form.
3. Silent Soaking Prayer: Silent Soaking Prayer on Saturday night, Oct. 26, in the Fellowship Hall from 7:30-9pm. Enter into a quiet, restful space where you can be still and prayerful before the Lord. Come and go as needed. Prayer ministers will silently pray for you.
4. Neighborhood Service Project: Have you heard the news? We are turning 10 in November and we want to celebrate by saying thank you to our neighbors with a kid-friendly park clean up project at nearby Cherry Valley Park on Saturday, November 2 from 9am-1pm. Sign up here.
5. 10 Year Anniversary Party: On Friday night, November 22, we will celebrate 10 years as Restoration Anglican Church! If you have not sent in your RSVP, you can do so here.
6. Baptism Sunday: The next Baptism Sunday is November 3. We still have room at the 11 and 5 services. The required parent training is this Tuesday, October 22. Please register by this Tuesday, October 22. Questions? Contact Kathy Kenyon.
7. Sunday Volunteers (including nursery and prayer): Today is the day to update your availability for November and December! This includes the holidays. The deadline is this Tuesday, Oct. 22. Questions? Contact Kathy Kenyon.
8. Welcome to Restoration! Want a chance to meet the clergy, and learn a bit more about the church? Join us next Sunday, Oct. 27 after the 11am service for a 15-20 minute conversation and awesome snacks. Join us up on the 3rd floor.
9. Meal Calendar Help: We are looking for a few volunteers who are good at communicating with moms-to-be and organizing a meal calendar for them. Interested? Let Louise know. She’ll show you just how easy it is to serve others in this way!
