Sunday Announcements – February 23rd, 2020
- Welcome to Restoration! Want a chance to meet the clergy, and learn a bit more about the church? You are invited today after any of our three services for a 15-20 minute conversation and awesome snacks. We’ll be up on the 3rd floor.
- No APEX next weekend: Next Friday, February 28, Resto’s youth ministry, APEX, will go on its winter retreat, “Breakaway.” As a result, we will not meet for APEX on March 1. We will have APEX this weekend and March 8. Questions? Contact Isaiah.
- Confirmation: Interested in exploring Anglicanism? Take a four week confirmation class (starting tonight), which culminates with a confirmation service on March 23. We’ll meet from 5-6:30 pm on Sunday nights (2/23, 3/1, 3/8, and 3/15). Contact Nathan if interested.
- All Sunday Volunteers: It is time to update your availability for March and April in our scheduling system, MSP. Please login and let us know when you will be gone. Today is the deadline. Questions? Contact Kathy Kenyon.
- Volunteer Training: Are you interested in volunteering on Sundays? The next training will be March 8 at 12:30 in the sanctuary. Serving on Sundays is open to everyone, no experience necessary. Contact Kathy Kenyon with questions.
- Shrove Tuesday Parish Meeting: Don’t miss pancakes and a parish meeting on February 25. Pancakes start flippin’ at 6pm with the parish meeting to follow at 7. Childcare for 5th grade and below is available during the parish meeting. RSVP for childcare.
- Ash Wednesday: We’ll mark the beginning of our Lenten season at Ash Wednesday services this Wednesday, February 26 at 6:30am, 12pm, and 7:30pm. Nursery care will be available at 12 and 7:30. Enter the penitential season alongside us.
- Pray & Ponder: a podcast for kids and the grownups who love them. Join us each weekday this Lent as we make space for kids and the grownups who love them to read stories of God’s love and wonder about all that he might be saying to us as we listen and wait with expectant hearts. - RestoMen: All men are invited on Tuesday night, March 10 for our next RestoMen gathering. We will begin at 7:30pm with supper and end promptly at 9pm. This month our topic is “How can we navigate a job transition wisely?” Questions? Contact Nathan Dickerson.
- Lenten Retreat: Join us Saturday, March 14, (8:30am-12pm) in the sanctuary, for a morning of rest and refreshment as we meditate on God’s Word together, spend time in solitude and in reflection upon the ways he’s at work in our lives. Questions? Email Beth.
