Tuesday Meanderings
Restoration,
Hope you are having a great week. If you are checking in to see what’s happening… here’s some news.
Tonight at 7:30pm we will have our Parish Meeting. We do this 3 times a year in order to provide accountability and clear channels of communication. I will talk about things that have happened in the last 4 months that get us really excited. Our treasurer, Jan Ryerson, will show you the numbers on how our last fiscal year ended and our budget for FY2013. And we will have the most recent drawings of our new facility. We say this with all sincerity– if this is your church family, this is your family meeting. It’s the best place to ask questions and give feedback and weigh in on the decisions of our church. Hope to see you tonight!
On Thursday and Saturday we have information gatherings for the Responding to God’s Grace campaign. Come have some food and hear how other people are processing their financial commitment. The gathering lasts about an hour and is a good chance to meet new people at the church. We will be handing out response cards on Sunday!
Tomorrow Liz Gray and I are headed up to Baltimore to visit and pray for Andrew Jones. I know he would appreciate your continued prayers for he and his family.
The Fall Retreat team is working hard to pull all the details together. We are getting really excited about that weekend away in October. Hope you are coming with us.
See ya soon.

David, will there be a recording made of the meeting and a way to see the latest drawings? I need to cover a 7:30-9pm seminary “webinar” on that “Gospel of Jesus’ Wife” thing for work. Yeah, I’d rather hang with my RAC peeps.

Would love to see/hear a recording too! We’ll keep our eyes open for it. Or maybe for future meetings a dial in for those of us who need to be elsewhere but want to be a part of it?

Jeff and Louise, great questions. We usually do not record parish meetings because a lot of the meeting is Q&A which is lost on the recording or burdensome during the meeting to pass a mic.
We will continue to work at tools to facilitate good communication. Obviously, we want folks informed on our finances and our plans. This conversation is the means we currently have to do it.
A webcast may be a potential and interesting idea…

So how do I find out what I missed at the meeting? Is there a packet I can pick up? I’d love to see the latest renderings of the proposed building.
