New-to-Restoration Dinner this week: New around here? Want to meet other newcomers and learn more about Restoration? Join us for dinner this Tues., Oct. 1, at 7:30 pm at Little Falls. Fall Retreat registration closes next week! You’ll want to spend Oct. 19-20 at Massanetta Springs with the whole Restoration family. We’ll hear from speaker Steve Hayner about how our own stories fit into God’s big story. Registration deadline is next Sunday, Oct. 6, so go to the website now to register.
Looking for an easy way to connect at Restoration? Join our team of Sunday volunteers. There’s a job for everyone, and it’s a great way to meet other people and serve the church. Training session after the service next Sun., Oct. 6, at 6:45 pm. Questions? Contact Matt: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Volunteers.”
Man up. On Tues., Oct. 15 at 7:30 pm, Restoration men will have the opportunity to “train themselves for godliness.” We’ll gather once a month for 7 months in the Little Falls sanctuary to talk about our character and to connect with potential mentors. Questions? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Connect.”
Become a conversation partner: Restoration folks get to build relationships with our neighbors at Fe y Alabanza Church through a flexible weekly time of teaching English through conversation. Interested? Contact Susie Wallin at crhs_dc@hotmail.com.
Bridging the youth gap: There’s great stuff happening at APEX. Now we want to think about connecting with local youth who aren’t part of our church. Clay’s building a team to do just that. Interested? Go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Youth Ministry.”
Intercessory Prayer Conference: Want to learn more about praying for others? Our diocese is offering an Intercessory Prayer Conference on Sat., Oct. 10 at All Saints’ Church in Woodbridge. For more info and to register, go to anglicandoma.org and look under “Media & Events.”
Can we pray for you? Every Sunday, there are teams of trained prayer ministers at the front of the sanctuary who would love to pray for you. Nothing’s too big or too small to be prayed for. Just make your way to the front after the service.
