Nogales Mission Trip Application 2024

Details about the trip: Apply to join the team as we serve alongside Cuirim Outreach, the week of July 7-14, 2024! Cuirim Outreach has been ministering in the Colosio neighborhood in Nogales for 20 years, and hosts groups of students from church partners across the US most weeks of the summer. Our group of about 14 Apex students and 4 adult leaders will stay in the cabins at Cuirim House, and embark on service projects (like concrete mixing and laying, painting, retaining wall building) throughout the neighborhood in order to serve families of highest need who are identified by the local church leaders. We also serve alongside local leaders at the Kids Cafe (el Comedor, the local soup kitchen and ministry center), to minister to the kids in Colosio community; we end our days at the neighborhood sports park where we play! We’ll engage in rhythms of worship, work, rest, and play together as we worship in the Cuirim House chapel 3 times a day, and enjoy 3 meals onsite there.

Travel and expenses: We fly to Tucson and stay overnight, before we are shuttled to the border by Cuirim Outreach’s church partners in Arizona. We then cross the US-Mexico border on foot and travel via chartered bus up to Cuirim House. Participants are asked to raise ~$1,600 to cover all expenses (travel, lodging, food, Cuirim house program fee, and project supplies). Reach out to lexi@restorationarlington.org if you have any further questions about the trip!
