High School Youth Group

Hi everyone at Restoration,

For those of you who haven’t met me, my name’s Clay, and I’ve been on staff at Restoration for about six weeks now.  My main focus is working with youth, both in middle school and high school.  APEX, the middle school ministry has been going strong for a few weeks now, and I’ve had a blast spending time with the APEX members and leaders.

I also want to let you know about something new that’s happening, that for the first time at Restoration we are beginning a ministry for high school students!  If you’re in high school, you’ve probably noticed that there hasn’t been anything official in place for you guys.  Well, our church has grown to the point where we’re ready to take this next step, because believe it or not, there are close to twenty high schoolers in the church!  I’ll be working another leader named Ali Burke, and we’re really looking forward to getting to know you.  We will meet at the church on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm (the same time as APEX), and we’ll share a meal, have some fun and spend time studying the Bible and exploring questions about life.

Our first meeting will be on October 14th, and we’ll kick things off by going out to a restaurant near the church (and if going to a restaurant isn’t in the budget, please don’t let that hold you back from coming).  We’ll provide transportation from the church to the restaurant, and we’ll have you back to the church by 8pm.  We’ll meet up in the front of the sanctuary after the 5pm service and head out by 6:45pm.
