We’ll let you in on a secret: Serving as a Kids’ Small Group Leader is the most fun way to get involved at Restoration on a Sunday. Starting in Sept., we’ll have Kids’ Small Groups at all three services (9 & 11 am and 5 pm), so there are lots of opportunities for you to get in on the fun. Interested? Want more info? Contact Louise: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Children’s Ministry.”
Now there are two ways to serve at AFAC. Summer farmers market runs have begun; we collect surplus produce from the Columbia Pike farmers market on Sunday afternoons and prepare it for distribution to AFAC clients. We’re also continuing our Fourth Tuesdays of each month, when a tram from Restoration helps distribute food at AFAC from 6:30-9 pm. Everyone 14 and older is welcome for both opportunities. To sign up for Sundays or Tuesdays, go to restorationarlington.org/ministries/outreach/local.
We need you to help Bridge the Gap. The Bridging the Gap team is continuing its efforts to serve Washington-Lee High School. We’re partnering with Young Life to build relationships with students at W-L and working towards forming a club. Interested in being part of this? Come find out more on Wed., Aug. 20, at 7:30 pm at 4636 3rd St. S., Arlington, VA 22204. For more details, go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Youth Ministry.”
Eager to move to the new building? We are too. We’re in the final stages of construction, and we’re planning to have our first services back on Quincy St. sometime later this summer or early fall. Watch this space for details.
Don’t leave without saying goodbye. In this area, people come and go all the time. We get it. But we’d love to say goodbye and pray for you before you go. If you’re moving away, please let us know: go to restorationarlington.org/contact and choose “Connect.”
