Stories of West Asia being told in Arlington
In May and June Restoration will send 2 different teams to this great region of the world. One of the people who will host the June team is named Steve. He is a good teacher in a great city with a tender heart for the people who live there.
I am thrilled that Steve is coming to visit our church this month. Last year we asked if he would come spend some time with Restoration in the U.S. and teach us how to pray and talk about the hope that we have. He graciously agreed and will be in Arlington from April 23-28.
I would love for everyone in our church to get a chance to interact with him and to hear his stories. To that end, we have created a variety of events and venues where Resto peeps can walk alongside Steve as we pray and chat about the One who makes all things new. Below is a form for you to rsvp your attendance. You’ll notice there is a mountain hike, conversations on a college campus, a visit to our local mosque, a 5k, and a seminar. We have something for everyone– from kinetic learners who like to chat while they move to folks who love a good didactic lesson.
As usual, no one can do everything, so if you need to prioritize your time, let me recommend the Thursday evening prayer gathering and the Saturday afternoon workshop. I would love for us to see a strong Restoration turn-out at both those events. Both events will be held in the Chapel at Little Falls Presbyterian Church.
Steve’s visit is the perfect follow-up to a rich experience of Holy Week worship and the perfect preparation for the kind of people we want to be as we move into our new facility. I hope you will join us for as much as you can. I’ll be at everything!
