Sunday Announcements – May 1, 2016
- Register for a small group. Almost everyone who worships with us on Sunday evenings is in a small group during the week. Tri2 groups started last week and will run through the week of June 19. This is the last week to sign up. Register today: go to restorationarlington.org/connect.
- Asia Minor Prayer. Our church has a special place in our heart for Asia Minor, so we regularly pray for the people of this country. Our next prayer time is on Mon, May 2 at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
- Cambodia Night is on May 9 at the Weimers at 7:30pm. Jesse Blaine will share some of what God has been doing in Cambodia and we will get a chance to pray with him for the work that is going on.
- RestoMen continues Tues, May 10. The evening begins at 7 pm with a catered, light supper. Bring $5 to help cover the cost. At 7:30 we start the conversation and end promptly at 9.
- RestoArts Workshop on creating a family culture of art will be led by Amy Rowe on Sat, May 14, from 10am to 12pm. Sign up at restorationarlington.org/restoarts-workshops/
- Morgan Reed’s Ordination. Celebrate with us as Morgan becomes a Deacon during the 5pm service on Sunday, May 15. Bishop John will be there, and there will be incense during the service and a reception to follow. Join us!
- Women Unscripted will be reflecting on what it looks like to be “in balance.” Tues, May 17, at 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a friend!
- Connect tonight with Apex, our youth group, at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall; and everyone else is invited to come to Evensong, a contemplative time of praying and singing at 7.
- Wednesday Morning Prayer is from 7am-7:30 through Pentecost, May 11. Start your day with communal prayer.
- Monday Playgroup. Come join caregivers and kids (preschool age and below) at Restoration on Mondays from 11 am – 12:30 pm for playtime and fellowship. Please bring your own snack. All are welcome! Contact Rachael Foster at rachaelkefoster@gmail.com with questions.
- Praying with hope. There is a team of folks who intercede on behalf of those who are pregnant, who desire to become pregnant, who are adopting, or who are mourning the loss of a pregnancy. If you would like to be part of this confidential intercessory prayer team — or if you would like prayer — please email Louise to let her know. (louise@restorationarlington.org)
