- Let us welcome the newly baptized! Today we celebrate the baptisms of Bennett Peake Strup, Sloane Ann Sibben, and Virginia Louise Harris (9am), and Luke Timothy Swanson, Samuel Joseph Whitehead, James William Whitehead, and Elaine Turne Draper (11am). Please pray for them as they grow in their faith and love for Jesus.
- RestoBolivia Night! Come hear the RestoBolivia team share reflections from their trip. Event takes place immediately after 5pm service in fellowship hall. Dinner and childcare provided. RSVP to jill@restorationarlington.org if you plan on bringing your children 5th grade and below.
- Women Unscripted: On Sept 26, 7:30pm, Women Unscripted launches with an evening of prayer workshops. Come and find ideas and encouragement as we head into Fall. New beginnings. New inspiration. Bring a friend.
- Small Group Registration is Open! One of the best ways to get connected at Restoration is by joining a small group, and we have just begun our fall trimester. This is your last week to register for a fall small group by clicking on the registration image at restorationarlington.org.
- NTRD. The next New to Restoration Dinner (NTRD) will be on Tues, Oct 3 @ 7:30. Join us for dinner and an opportunity to hear a bit about our story and vision – bring your questions. Childcare for those in 8th grade and below will be provided. Register at restorationarlington.org/ntrd. The deadline for sign-up is Oct 1.
- Register for Fall Retreat: The Fall Retreat will be Oct 14-15, with Friday night, Oct 13 being optional. Registration is open! Sign up with the team in the Narthex, online, or on the app. Our speaker Joe Ho will lead us in a study on Ephesians 2 with a focus on the problem of race and the power of the cross.
- Outreach Fair. Make a note to stop by the Outreach Fair on Oct 1 – after all three services in the Fellowship Hall.
- Liturgical Volunteer Training – Are you interested in joining the team of Sunday Liturgical Volunteers? The next training will be on Sunday, Oct 8th after the Parish Meeting. - RestoMen Gathering: Join us Tues, Oct. 10 for first gathering of the fall. We begin at 7pm w/supper (Bring $5 to help cover the cost). At 7:30 pm we start the program, & end promptly @ 9pm. Our theme this year is “Living a God-Engaged Life”, and our topic in Oct is “Image vs. Reality”
- Nominations for Vestry open October 1-22. The vestry is a group of 9 elected elders who provide spiritual and fiduciary oversight for our congregation. Nominations (yes, it is just fine to nominate yourself!) can be submitted to nominations@restorationarlington.org Please include the nominees name and 2-3 sentences describing why they should be nominated.
