Fall Retreat Volunteer Priority Registration

Kids' Small Group Leader - nursery: Lead nursery KSGs during all teaching sessions. Comped; receive a stipend.

Kids' Small Group Leader - prek-5th: Lead KSGs during all but one teaching session. Comped; receive a stipend.

Apex Leader: Lead an Apex small group instead of participating in an adult small group and help facilitate an Apex game during a portion of free time. Current Apex leaders only, please. Comped.

Snack Captains: This team of 2-3 is in charge of coordinating snack and beverage service for everyone to enjoy before our three main sessions. You’ll work together before the retreat to purchase and transport supplies which Resto will reimburse. You’ll oversee these food stations with the help of additional volunteers.

Boat Making Activity: You’ll oversee this 1.5-hour free time activity at the creek. Resto will provide glue, modeling clay, popsicle sticks, and pipe cleaners. You’ll collect and bring household recyclable materials for making boats (e.g. cardboard, empty plastic containers and aluminum cans).

Set up Luminaries: During free time on Saturday afternoon, you’ll fill 100+ paper bags with sand and a candle and set them out along the path to our bonfire. Resto will provide all supplies.

Light Bonfire and Luminaries: During our evening activity, this team of 2+ will light all of our luminaries, get the bonfire started, and keep it going for the first hour. (7:15-8:45)

S’mores Team: This team of 3-4 will set up, oversee, and clean up the s’mores table and pass out glow sticks. (7:30-9:30 pm)

Extinguish Bonfire; Collect and Throw Away Luminaries: The retreat center will provide a bucket of water to extinguish the bonfire. Resto will provide a trash bag to dispose of the luminaries. (10:30 pm)
