Hey Everyone – Our retreat team had our first meeting this week, and we are so excited about this event! Registration is now officially open ! You can grab a form on line and print it off, or grab a paper copy at church this Sunday July 5. The important thing is to be sure and get one and register early and often! No seriously – we have an early bird rate for those registering between July 5 and August 15 so it’s important to get your registration in. Checks can be postdated for October 1 – so you are out no money now! You just need to complete the form (one per family) and mail it in to our registrar, Desiree Fey. Her address is on the form! Our speaker for the weekend is Rod Handley of a ministry in MO, called “Character That Counts”. He is an awesome guy and speaker – you will love him I promise! (More to come on him) Any questions at all, feel free to call or email me . My info is on the form as well!
The Shenandoah Valley is beautiful in October – so don’t miss our first annual retreat!

Rumor has it that there is a T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST!!! Yes, it is true!
In celebration of RAC’s first ever fall retreat, there will be a design contest for the retreat t-shirt. Consider entering your idea for the back of a t-shirt which will be worn by all the youth and adults of RAC during the weekend.
The t-shirt can feature a picture (either drawn or computer-created). It can highlight a theme (Like “Character that Counts” or RAC’s First Ever Fall Retreat.) Or it can simply feature your natural aptitude for using words and ideas in an inventive way to create humor. (Example: The back of the t-shirt could just read: “I’m helping to start an awesome new church in Arlington and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”) Ha!

    Show us what you got!!

Submit your ideas to me at kristenterry@cox.net

I love: “I’m helping… and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.’ that’s hilarious. Between Mary and Kristen’s posts, (and knowing Daniel Li is doing transportation…) I can’t wait. It sounds so fun.
